Our Traditional Cooking class in Genoa will allow you to learn the best Ligurian and Genovese recipes sided by local professionals in the field. Hands-on the job you will be guided in the preparation of traditional recipes from Genoa and Liguria.
Our cooking class and tasting is an all-around experience. We believe that the cooking class with tasting is successful when our guests test themselves cooking, learning, sharing their experiences and having fun. Therefore, we have a 2-people minimum and a 10-people maximum. If the minimum number of guests is not reached, we will contact you to reschedulethe class at another time or day.
The class and tasting include: at least 4 recipes with preparation and tasting, and one tasting more (artisanal gelato). Water, wine or beer (in limited amounts) are included. Everything else is not included.

We are so glad we did this class…Juliana, our guide, and Domineco, the chef were just the best! We learned so much, the food was incredible and we left stuffed with a bunch of new knowledge! Don’t hesitate-and the restaurant we were taught at, Locanda Tortuga, is an amazing local spot!

It was just amazing! There were only two of us and we had a great time. We made homemade pasta, foccacia, pesto and biscuits! Everything was well organised. The chef was great and our guide had lots of additional insights into traditional food in Liguria. We can only recommend the cooking class! Thank you very much!

We had an incredible time at the cooking class. We cooked 4 dishes with the restaurant owner, who is also the Pasta Master Chef. We also had a guide from 'Do eat better experience', who told us more about Ligurian culture and food during the class. It was really fun to make Foccacia, learn some tips from the Chef and eat all these tasty dishes. The class was organized in the building that was originally built in the 11th century, which made the whole experience more authentic. After the class our guide walked us through the city to get some ice cream in Gelateria. We are very pleased with the level of service and how good the event was organized. We highly recommend to take this class for everyone who wants to have a fun time in Genua.
Interesting but It Could Have Been More

We had a very fun morning making pesto and eating focaccia, a unique pasta, and rolling out cookies. We made pesto from scratch in a mortar and served it on the pasta and it was delicious. Although the chef was delightful and his restaurant was great, we did not actually make the dough for the cookies or the focaccia.
